What is included in the housing package? Will I need to bring my own linens and towels?

To view a complete list of what's included in your housing package please visit the “what’s included” page. You will not need to bring your own linens and towels, however, you may do so if you are more comfortable using your own linens.

What is the check-in process?

Specific details for your check-in process will be provided in your confirmation email and "Welcome Letter", which you will receive 2 weeks prior to your move-in date.

When will I receive confirmation of my new apartment address and roommates?

We plan to have everyone confirmed at least 2 weeks prior to the move in date. The sooner you get your roommate profile in – the sooner we can begin matching!

How are roommates matched?

Roommates are matched based on gender, arrival date, and preferences. If you have specific preferences or requests, let us know.  We will do our best to accommodate requests but cannot make guarantees.

Is parking included in the rental?

Parking is your financial responsibility during your stay.  Please let us know if you will be bringing a car and we will do our best to assist you with identifying parking options keeping in mind, parking in San Francisco can be difficult to find and expensive.   

I have a concern about my apartment or roommate, who should I call?

Should you have a question or concern about your apartment or roommate, please call your National Corporate Housing representative right away. Our job is to support you throughout your internship and make sure you are as comfortable as possible. Please contact your National representative.

I need to report a maintenance request and/or damaged item, who should I call?

For all emergencies requiring police, fire or medical attention please dial 911. For all other maintenance requests, contact your National Corporate Housing representative right away so we can address it. Please note that we will grant the maintenance staff permission to enter your apartment to assess and/or repair all maintenance requests. For after-hours emergencies please call the after-hours number provided in your arrival instructions. You may also submit a maintenance request via the online portal at the bottom of the home screen.

I locked myself out, what should I do?

Call one of your roommates or your National representative right away. In some cases, there will be additional charges to have someone let you into your apartment after hours.

I received a notice or mail not addressed to me, what should I do?

Should you receive a notice or mail addressed to National Corporate Housing in error, please let your National representative know right away so we can address it. Should you receive mail addressed to another tenant, as a courtesy, please write “return to sender/not at the address” on the envelope and leave it in your mailbox for the mail carrier.

What is NOT covered under the housing package?

Long distance telephone calls, parking, premium cable channels, pay-per-view movies, and damages are NOT covered under your housing package. All damages and incidentals are the responsibility of the intern.

I would like to extend my stay, who should I call?

Should you need to extend your stay please contact your National Corporate Housing representative as soon as possible. We will make every possible effort to accommodate your extension.

What are my move-out instructions?

Check out time is noon. Please return all keys, fobs, and remotes to the leasing office in the envelope provided with your name and apartment number labeled clearly. Please note that there is a $150 minimum charge for all unreturned keys. Detailed move out instructions will be provided a week before your departure date.

National will charge a personal credit card for your stay.     

I have lost my key, what should I do?

Please contact National Corporate Housing immediately if you have lost your key.   You will be financially responsible for paying for the replacement key.  If the apartment needs to be rekeyed for any reason, you will be financially responsible for the apartment rekey and key replacements for you and your roommates.  Apartment rekeys will be facilitated on an individual circumstantial basis.
