Parsippany is a township in Morris County, New Jersey, who's population was 53,238, as of the 2010 Census. The town's name Parsippany comes from the Lenape from the word Native American word parsipanong, meaning "the place where the river winds through the valley". The name Troy Hills was changed from Troy, to avoid confusion with Troy, New York. Parsippany was ranked asthe #17 Best Places to Live in the United States, and the highest-ranked location in New Jersey by Money Magazine.
