US temporary accommodation giant makes first UK hire
National Corporate Housing, one of America’s largest temporary furnished accommodation specialists, has cemented its presence in the UK with the appointment of Irina Keen as global account manager. The role will see her spearhead the development of the multi award-winning accommodation specialist in the UK, by liaising with the existing client database, generating awareness and driving demand for National Corporate Housing by targeting UK-based corporate decision-makers.
As the first UK-based associate for the company, Irina Keen joins National Corporate Housing after a four year period at SACO and brings with her years of experience and an enviable network of contacts within the serviced apartment industry and associated supply chain. Working at SACO’s Birmingham and Bristol offices, Irina quickly rose through the ranks, holding positions including assistant manager and overseas partner manager, before leaving the company as a global supply manager.
The appointment comes as National Corporate Housing rolls out in the UK, following demand from existing US clients for extended stay temporary accommodation, for employees on corporate assignments and international programmes.
Established in 1999 by chief executive Tom Atchison, National Corporate Housing has quickly grown to become one of America’s largest providers of temporary accommodation, managing over 2,500 units. The multi award-winning company, which has 28 offices across the United States and delivers average occupancy rates of 95 percent, is built upon providing exceptional levels of customer service.
Tom Atchison, chief executive officer of National Corporate Housing, said: “Irina brings with her a wealth of experience and an in-depth understanding of the UK serviced apartment industry. We are delighted to have her at the helm of the business’s development in the UK, with a view to building a hand-picked on the ground team that can deliver the same superior levels of service that we have become known for.”
Irina Keen, global account manager at National Corporate Housing, adds: “I am delighted to join National Corporate Housing at what is a highly exciting time for the business. There is a real opportunity for high quality, cost-effective accommodation in the UK – with a focus on service and flexibility when it comes to client requirements. National Corporate Housing is an exemplar brand in the US and I look forward to bringing this across the pond into a new market.”
