Around here, life is like a walk in the park. And by park, we mean a secluded oasis that’s steps from Grapevine Lake, miles of trails, and Flower Mound’s favorite places to gather, shop, and dine.

About Flower Mound, Texas
Learn About This Location
Flower Mound is a suburban community of 20,000 acres on the shores of Grapevine Lake, south of Denton and northwest of Dallas in south central Denton County. It was established after a land dispute was settled and Indian raids ceased. Permanent settlerment began, as immigrants were attracted by the rich soil, suitable for raising cotton, corn, and wheat. The town was named after a fifty-foot-high mound covered with Indian paintbrush; which was once a holy place for local Indians. Unlike many pioneer settlements in the area during the Great Depression, Flower Mound maintained a steady population throughout the first half of the twentieth century and became a farming and cattle-raising community.
